Hey guys! My name is Kirsten McManus and I am your 2007 – 2008 Florida High School Rodeo Queen. And wow, what an honor to represent the beautiful Sunshine State of Florida. I am 16 years old and a junior at North Marion High School and Putnam Banner Private School located in Citra, Florida. I plan to attend college and become a nurse or a paramedic and continue to rodeo.
Rodeo is my life. I love everything about it. I have learned so much about myself and about life. I have made so many friends all over the country. It truly is a great experience. This will be my third year in high school rodeo and I will be competing in breakaway calf roping, goat tying, barrel racing and team roping.
I would like to say a thank you to everyone who has supported me and been there for me through everything. Thank you to all the parents that dedicate their spare time (what little they have) to help us kids out to make this great association happen. Without them, there would be no high school rodeo. To the FHSRA Members, thanks for making this association as fun as it is. I have had so much fun with you guys and have so many unforgettable memories. To my mom and dad, thank you for everything you do for me. Without you guys there is no way I could do what I do and go as far as I have.
God Bless,
Kirsten McManus
